Being awarded a quality management system certificate according to the ISO 9001:2008 standard is a very significant step towards permanently improving the level of healthcare provided. QMS implementation throughout the Znojmo Hospital was a long-running process. It goes on to improve the procedural concept of management and by being certified the Hospital met a further priority in what regards its strategic plans. BMT Medical Technology s.r.o. also contributed in no small way to the successful certification of the Znojmo Hospital primarily through the preparation and the realization of all documentation for the Central Sterilization Unit.
In his initial speech, Ing. Tomáš Urban (DNV) emphasized that the Quality Management System Certificate is confirmation of the fact that the Hospital has in place a high level management process. Moreover, the public may rest assured when it comes to the quality of the healthcare provided by the Hospital. Following it being ISO 9001:2008 certified, the Znojmo Hospital now stands side by side with such institutions as are the Brno Teaching Hospital and the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague.
