The main share of turnover in India is sales to the healthcare sector. Renewal of central sterilizations in AIIMS institutions brings regular orders every year for our Sterivap SL steam sterilizers and Uniclean PL II washers produced by MMM GmbH. In 2020, serious negotiations for supplies to TATA hospitals began and currently we have already supplied over 20 large steam sterilizers to their hospitals and others are in production. As India is a huge and promising market, the competition in healthcare sterilization in India is constantly increasing. More and more foreign manufacturers are pushing into India, but the pressure is also coming from local manufacturers who lose due to insufficient quality and lack of international certification. More and more Indian manufacturers of steam sterilizers are thus striving for management system certification according to ISO 9001 and for the approval of sterilization devices as medical devices according to European and American standards. Our main advantages, thanks to which we still maintain a strong position in the market, include the number of references, experience in the market, professional service support by trained technicians from CL Micromed and higher quality and reliability of our steam sterilizers.
To reduce the risk of a decline in turnover in India, we are trying to actively promote sales in the industrial area. In 2016, we started cooperation with S.V.Scientific, which already at that time represented our subsidiary MMM Medcenter and which was looking for a supplier of steam sterilizers. After the first interesting references realized in the first years of cooperation, this year we managed to win important orders by selling industrial sterilizers to the companies Biological E. and Syngene. Undoubtedly, we have earned respect for our flexibility and quick processing of customer requests and modifications in documentation. Currently, both sterilizers are already on their way to India, where we will arrange installation and support during the validation of the sterilizers. If we manage to get the devices up and running smoothly, these 2 references should open the door for us to other major orders in India.
